Graphic Beauties: Vintage Ads

Wednesday, May 15, 2013

While just at the V&A museum in London in April, I was so inspired by their collection of amazing vintage advertisements {I took photos but all turned out so blurry!} I just love their bold graphics, bright clear colors and retro appeal. Now that I am back home and staring at the very white walls of our new apartment I am determined to find a great source online! Any sites you love?

I came across this British site, VinMag, which has some wonderful ones, as well as Mid Century Moments on Etsy but I think my search will continue . . . . wish me luck!

Great post. What about Society 6? (won't be actual vintage, but may be the style)

I use allposters.com for lots of replicas of different sizes. You can order them framed or on canvas as well. Love these inspiration pics!

I obviously gravitate toward them because I tend to buy sets of vintage-style posters every time I go overseas. I just popped a Paris one into a frame the other night. xx

art.com and allposters.com have a pretty good vintage advertising and travel poster selection. Walls360 does too, although they are wall decals and not posters.

As a couple of people said above, art.com or allposters.com. If you're after the genuine vintage posters, Galerie Monmartre in Melbourne (Australia) or Vintage Venus (also in Aus) are good options
